Sagittarius Horoscope December 2026
By Dima Tretyak · Updated October 23, 2026 · Times calculated, not copied · For self-reflection, not prediction
December puts you at the center of the sky, with a New Moon in your own sign on December 8 and two supportive Jupiter contacts later in the month. It is a good month to restart how you present yourself and what you believe in.
Mercury enters Sagittarius, your 1st house, on December 6 at 3:33 AM EST (12:33 AM PST), and a run of contacts follows. On December 7 it trines Neptune in your 5th house, which favors imaginative ideas and creative play. On December 8 it opposes Uranus in your 7th house, so a partner or rival may pull in a different direction than you planned. The same day it sextiles Pluto in your 3rd house, an easy opening for frank conversations about what matters.
The New Moon at 16°57′ Sagittarius lands on December 8 at 7:52 PM EST (4:52 PM PST), in your 1st house. This is the strongest start of the month for you. It suits quiet intentions about identity, appearance and how you begin things. Mercury square Mars on December 9 in your 10th house adds friction, and a blunt word at work could cost more than it gains. Sagittarius can say more than it means when pressed, so slow down there.
Jupiter, your ruler, anchors the month. It turns retrograde at 27°01′ Leo in your 9th house on December 12 at 7:58 PM EST (4:58 PM PST). That makes it a time to review plans around study, travel, publishing or beliefs rather than launch new ones. On December 18 at 4:20 PM EST (1:20 PM PST) the Sun trines Jupiter, and Mercury does the same on December 23 at 1:03 PM EST (10:03 AM PST). Both bring smooth support to optimism, teaching and big-picture thinking.
Your 5th house also shifts. Saturn turns direct at 7°55′ Aries on December 10, and Neptune turns direct at 1°36′ Aries on December 12. Matters of romance, play and creative work that felt stalled or foggy may start to move again. The Full Moon on December 23 at 2°14′ Cancer sits in your 8th house and can bring intimacy and shared resources into view. The Sun enters Capricorn, your 2nd house, on December 21, turning attention toward values and self-worth as the year closes.
Sagittarius love horoscope
Saturn turning direct on December 10 and Neptune on December 12, both in your 5th house of romance, may ease doubts or fog that built up around dating and play. Mercury opposite Uranus on December 8 puts your 7th house of partners under pressure, so a one-to-one talk may take an unexpected turn. Venus enters Scorpio, your 12th house, on December 4, which favors private time over display. The Full Moon on December 23 in your 8th house brings intimacy into focus, a fitting moment to be honest about what you need.
Sagittarius work horoscope
Mars sits in your 10th house of career all month. Mars square Uranus on December 4 and Mercury square Mars on December 9 show how restless and sharp the workplace can feel, so choose words with care. Mercury trine Saturn on December 11 is steadier, a good day for plans that need patience and structure. On December 31, the Sun and then Mercury trine Mars from your 2nd house, linking what you value with the drive to act. That is a fair time to set practical goals for the new year.
