How today's card is chosen
The page turns today's date in New York into a number and uses it to shuffle the deck, so the card is fixed for the whole day and changes at midnight Eastern time. It is a calculation, not a reading done by a person, and it runs in your browser. The button under the card draws a separate card just for you, from a fresh shuffle.
Reading one card for a day
A single card works best as a theme, not a prediction. Take one keyword from the card and keep it in mind: if the card is The Tower, notice what feels unstable; if it is the Four of Swords, notice where you need rest. At the end of the day, ask whether the theme showed up and what you did with it. Over a few weeks the notes say more about your habits than any single card.
Other draws: yes or no tarot for one question and a three-card reading for past, present and future. All card meanings: tarot.
Questions
✦Is the card of the day the same for everyone?
Yes. The card comes from a fixed calculation on the date in New York, so everyone who opens the page on the same day sees the same card, and it changes at midnight Eastern time. For a card of your own, use the draw button below it.
✦What should I do with my daily tarot card?
Read its keywords in the morning and ask where they show up in your day: a conversation, a decision, a mood. In the evening, check whether the card fit. Used this way it is a habit of reflection, not a forecast.
✦What if I get a reversed card of the day?
A reversed card is read as the card's meaning blocked, delayed or turned inward. It is not a bad omen; it points to where the day's theme may meet resistance.
